The EKG Technician performs a variety of technical duties utilizing knowledge and skills to ensure consistent quality patient care. Proficiency in non-invasive Cardiology especially electrocardiograms and Holter monitoring is necessary to provide accurate assessment of patients. Clinical assistance and limited clerical work is required.
Shift:
Full Time
Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
At least a year of basic technical training in taking electrocardiograms.
Performs at least 8-10 EKGs per shift.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Work requires the analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine.
- Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matters schedule appointments greet visitors explain Medical Center policies and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients visitors and/or Medical Center employees. More sensitive situations may be referred to others as appropriate.
Salary: $23.50/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
