Schedule
6:00pm - 4:30am - four 10 hour shifts a week
Days off will vary very likely to work weekends
The Role
This role requires intermediate supervisory training and interpersonal skills. The right candidate will also have strong self-management capability experience scheduling personnel and the ability to direct a warehouse crew. This person will be responsible for warehouse inventory PO accuracy productivity levels and reporting facility and equipment maintenance as needed. Coordination of warehouse activities under the direction of the Receiving Warehouse Supervisor. Responsible for training personnel to ensure a well-coordinated shift. This position will require intermediate knowledge of Charlies operations and customer procedures along with maintaining an understanding of all the job requirements of the employees they supervise.
Essential Functions
- Oversee activities of the night shift receiving crew to ensure accuracy and productivity levels are met.
- Ensure the team is following attendance break and lunch schedules.
- In charge of the Receiving Department in the absence of the Receiving Supervisor.
- Update product transfers and purchase orders in the system.
- Monitor email and radio communications.
- Facilitate product transfers and import product set up.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain cycle counts as needed to resolve Receiving discrepancies.
- Ability to complete cursory identification of produce quality ability to count and have basic math skills.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to complete daily tasks with minimal supervision while multi-tasking.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and work in a refrigerated warehouse (32-37 degrees).
- Overtime is needed when business requires i.e. busy seasons vacation coverage etc.
- Needs to have sensory capabilities to avoid accidents as warehouse environment involves fast moving forklift and power jack equipment.
- Ability to work well with others by building cooperative working relationships with other departments.
- Additional responsibilities as directed by management.
Qualifications :
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience with Charlies Produce.
- Must have experience or ability to learn to receive products with Power Warehouse and RF scanners.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Must have previous experience with WMS.
- Have previous proven track record of dependability and excellent attendance.
- Great communication skills.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment 35-45 degrees.
- Ability to work without direct supervision and prioritize activities under pressure.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to actively engage in continuous improvement activities.
- Able to work on your feet for 8 hours.
- Ability to adhere to all food and safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- At least 1 year experience riding pallet jack and stand-up forklift experience.
- Inventory Control experience.
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs frequently.
