Do you like helping U.S. Government agencies design visualize and realize innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems Would you like to do this using the latest cloud computing technologies Do you have a knack for planning visualizing and leading these groups in understanding application architectures and integration approaches Do you have the consultative and leadership skills to launch a project on a trajectory to success
Amazon Web Services is looking for highly talented hands-on and technical enterprise architects to help accelerate our growing Professional Services business. This is an excellent opportunity to join Amazons world class technical teams working with some of the best and brightest engineers while also developing your skills and furthering your career within one of the most innovative and progressive technology companies.
Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the Customer. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.
We are looking for someone who will:

- Enjoy working with U.S. Federal customers. You will have a passion for educating training designing and building cloud solutions for a diverse and challenging set of U.S. Federal customers.
- Have a strong understanding of large scale computing solutions. The ideal candidate will have past experience working as a systems or enterprise architect. You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions. You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create truly innovative solutions built on AWS.
It is expected to work from one of the above locations (or customer sites) at least 1 days in a week. This is not a remote position. You are expected to be in the office or with customers as needed.
This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI Security Clearance. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

7 years of experience building and implementing technical infrastructure and services and/or consulting experience advising such operations
2 years in a technical leadership role e.g. Engineering/Technology Lead Senior Solutions Architect Lead Architect/Engineer etc.
Experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade architectures for US government agencies enterprise grade solution and collaborating with development teams to break down functional pieces into a customer implementation roadmap
Strong background/ experience working with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (e.g. SAFe TOGAF Business Capability maps Value Maps) and management frameworks (e.g. ITIL v3 processes COBIT CMMI)
Current active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI.
Experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade architectures for U.S. Government agencies.
Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
Broad based technology experience including cloud computing applications development DevOps IoT relational databases NoSQL databases analytics networking security storage compute continuous deployment containers and management and monitoring.
Visible IT Industry thought leadership on relevant topics related to enterprise IT infrastructure and adoption.
Use of AWS services in distributed environments with Enterprise Software.
Hands-on experience with cloud migration initiatives as an AWS customer or consulting with a customer on their IT transformations
