Overview of the Role:
Join our clients Engineering & Construction team as a Senior Project Management Consultant and play a pivotal role in advancing Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the United States and Canada. This position offers the unique opportunity to coordinate complex multi-million dollar renewable energy projects from early development through construction readiness making a direct impact on the clean energy transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate highly matrixed project development teams across multiple BESS projects simultaneously
- Develop technical scope and optimize project variables for enhanced feasibility
- Support PPA and GIA negotiations with origination and development teams
- Manage engineering estimating and procurement requirements coordination
- Create and present financial models to executive leadership for budget approvals
- Source negotiate and execute commercial contracts for critical services
- Ensure seamless project handoff to Construction Project Managers with executable plans
- Present regular progress updates and risk mitigation strategies to management
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or Finance/Accounting
- 5 years of experience in engineering and construction preferably renewable energy projects
- Excellent project management communication and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience with electricity markets renewables and/or battery projects preferred
- PMP Certification preferred
- Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites
