Responsibilities

The FAAs National Airspace System (NAS) Enterprise Services Group (AJW17) serves as the Office of Primary Responsibility for second-level engineering and operational support of enterprise-level systems in the NAS. Providing 24/7 technical assistance AJW17 ensures vital NAS systems operate safely reliably and securely by managing trouble tickets troubleshooting system failures resolving performance issues and overseeing lifecycle maintenance activities. AJW-17 integrates cybersecurity standards configuration control and enterprise architecture compliance into FAA infrastructure modernization efforts aligning technology implementation with strategic resilience security and mission assurance objectives.

The Network Analyst serves as a critical liaison between customers and network engineering teams ensuring clear communication of technical requirements and effective implementation of network and security solutions. This role requires strong technical knowledge in networking and cybersecurity excellent communication skills and the ability to apply system engineering principles to mitigate cyber vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between customers and network engineers to gather clarify and document technical requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with network engineers to verify proper configuration and implementation of network devices and security measures.
  • Obtain and review technical artifacts such as screenshots and configuration files to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Explain complex network and cybersecurity concepts clearly to both technical teams and customers.
  • Follow up diligently to track the progress of network implementation and issue resolution.
  • Apply system engineering techniques to identify analyze and mitigate cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of cybersecurity frameworks including NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST 800-53 security controls.
  • Possess knowledge of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions virtualization technologies and core networking concepts.
  • Understand the secure bi-directional transfer of data between networks of differing classification levels and transmission protocols.
  • Conduct or coordinate security scans to identify active vulnerabilities and track remediation efforts.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic technical environment to resolve issues and support network security objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with implementing security controls and system hardening on servers and endpoints.
  • Familiarity with federal cybersecurity requirements and guidelines (FAA experience highly preferred).
  • Proficiency in vulnerability management tools and techniques.
  • Solid understanding of key cybersecurity concepts such as access control encryption and network security.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience with Bachelors Degree in engineering (systems civil electrical electronic chemical industrial mechanical aeronautical avionics environmental or computer).
  • Masters Degree in related field may be substituted for Bachelors Degree and 3 years experience.
  • PhD in related field may be substituted for Bachelors Degree and 7 years experience.
  • Compensation Ranges: D.C. and N.J. - $77000 - $120275

Desired Qualifications

  • Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP GSEC CEH or CISM.
  • Prior experience supporting federal systems or programs requiring ATO.
  • Knowledge of configuration management and change control processes.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors including but not limited to the combination of education certifications knowledge skills competencies and experience internal and external equity location clearance level as well as contract-specific affordability organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this positionis based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important its just one component of Noblis total compensation package.
