Job Title: Export Control Compliance Analyst (Contractor)
Location: San Jose CA
Contract Position
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Export Control Compliance Analyst (Contractor) to lead and optimize our export compliance operations. In this role youll ensure alignment with the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) while enhancing internal compliance procedures. Youll manage classification processes maintain SOPs track KPIs and partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that support regulatory adherence and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and apply EAR regulations providing consistent guidance to internal stakeholders.
Develop update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for export compliance.
Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate program effectiveness and identify areas for enhancement.
Manage ECCN (Export Control Classification Number) classifications ensuring documentation accuracy and integrity.
Support assessments related to deemed exports international travel shipping and foreign visitors.
Deliver training and serve as a subject matter expert on export compliance processes.
Collaborate with R&D marketing sales and business units to ensure regulatory alignment of technology and product classifications.
Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives within export compliance workflows.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Associates degree in a related field.
Demonstrated experience in export compliance ECCN classification and regulatory operations.
In-depth knowledge of EAR and U.S. export control regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel Word PowerPoint SharePoint) and compliance tracking systems.
Skilled in developing SOPs managing KPIs and implementing process improvements.
Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Self-starter capable of thriving in a fast-paced evolving regulatory environment.
