This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporaries are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.
Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. OSHR supports the Governors Job Ready initiative and seeks to expand a temporarys skill set to enhance their qualifications for State government and private sector jobs. This temporary position is located in Greenville - Pitt County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $26.46 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 2577 W. 5th St. Greenville NC 27834.
The purpose of this position is to assist patients with issues concerning Medicaid eligibility provide direct patient care including assessment interviews with patients examining their social support systems family relationships use of community resources discharge plans and high-risk discharge situations.Knowledge Skills and Abilities / Competencies

- Thorough knowledge of social work theory principles and techniques are required.
- Knowledge of community resources discharge planning and case management theory and practice skills in conducting interviews psycho-education groups and coordination of services is expected.
- Knowledge of psychiatric and addiction disorders is needed.
- Ability to assess and provide services for dually diagnosed patients is critical.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Masters degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution; or
Bachelors degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of directly related experience; or
Masters degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of directly related experience; or
