Job Description
The Norridge location of NSI is a progressive manufacturer of die castings that has been in business for 50 years and we look forward to having you join our team!
General Summary
Accountable for assistance in building cleaning and maintenance of molds and trim dies.
Responsibilities
- Follow tool maintenance procedure
- Clean and maintain molds and trim dies as requested
- Inspect tools for any damage
- Inform Tool Room Manager when nonconformance is found
- Complete Tooling Work Order
- Place tools in assigned areas after cleaning
- Clean up work area at end of each shift along with general tool room cleaning
- Make pickups and deliveries as needed
- Maintain the cleanliness of the pickup truck and maintain work trucks condition
- Assist Mold Makers Zinc Die Cast Operators and Setup Technicians as needed
Job Specifications
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Heavy lifting required
- Familiar with measuring equipment (i.e. micrometers pin gages feeler gauges torque wrenches etc.)
- Basic knowledge of hand tools
- Mechanical skills/aptitude
- Mechanical repair knowledge
- Experience setting up and/or operating production machinery automated cells or production lines
Salary Range: $21.00/hr.
