Reports To: Director of Plant Operations
Status: 80 hours per two week pay period with rotating weekends and holidays
Shift: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Job Schedule: Full time
Weekly Hours: 40 hours with on-call rotating
Remote Position: No

Job Summary
Performs installation repair inspection maintenance and troubleshooting on all plumbing HVAC electrical and mechanical equipment in accordance with hospital standards and policies.

- High school or equivalent.
- Vocational/specialized training in applicable mechanics heating blueprint reading refrigeration electrical and plumbing preferred.
- Knowledge of plant operations and systems including heating cooling ventilation electrical medical gas sanitation and portable water required.
- Current valid South Dakota drivers license.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and other manuals and documents.
Working Conditions
- Work is both indoors and outdoors in all areas on the campus with frequent exposure to loud noise extreme temperature dirt dust oil grease odors and fumes from oil and gas.
- Work involves standing stooping kneeling climbing and bending with much walking throughout the campus. Lifting is light (exerting/lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally up to 10 pounds frequently or a negligible amount constantly) to moderate (exerting/lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally up to 20 pounds frequently and 10 pounds constantly) but may at times require heavy (exerting/lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally up to 50 pounds frequently and 20 pounds constantly) lifting and carrying.
- Requires bending squatting crawling reaching and climbing ladders up to roof-top elevations.
