Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Microbiology to lead our microbiology department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microbiological testing regulatory compliance and team management. This role is critical for maintaining high-quality standards and supporting production and quality control functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise microbiology lab operations including environmental monitoring water testing and sterility assurance.
Ensure compliance with cGMP GLP ISO and applicable regulatory guidelines (USFDA WHO MHRA etc.).
Oversee microbiological testing of raw materials in-process samples and finished products.
Manage validations method development and microbial risk assessments.
Handle microbiological investigations deviations OOS and implement CAPA.
Train mentor and evaluate team members to ensure technical excellence and high performance.
Participate in audits regulatory inspections and documentation for quality assurance.
Skills & Requirements:
Strong knowledge of microbiological testing and aseptic techniques.
Proven leadership and team management abilities.
Experience in handling regulatory audits and compliance.
Proficient in documentation and microbiology instrumentation.
