The Council has made a considerable investment in Childrens Services ongoing programme of transformation including developing the SEND and Inclusion Support Model which aims to ensure children and young people get the support that they need as early as possible.
To support the implementation of this new model weare seeking to recruit six Business Support Officers to support our newly created multi-disciplinary Zone Teams. We are looking for people who have excellent administrative skills and who can communicate effectively to join our team.
As a Business Support Officer in our multi-disciplinary Zone Teams you will support a range of educational professionals who are working with schools to help them to be as inclusive as possible.
You will arrange meetings with schools prepare meeting agendas record and track actions and attend the Zone Teams weekly meetings to help them manage their activities with schools.
You will be part of a wider business support team who will be developing new processes to continuously improve ways of working. You will need to have excellent organisational skills and be comfortable working to tight deadlines.
As the SEND and Inclusion Support Model is a new way of working you will be a forefront of educational change in Norfolk supporting schools the Council and families to work together to support children and young people in Norfolk to flourish.
As this is a new team we are looking for people who:

All our office-based roles are hybrid as part of our Smarter Working plans. We anticipate that working remotely will be a key feature of this role but when you work from the office your base will be County Hall in Norwich. Our technology platform and equipment are first class enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely or in a hybrid fashion.
The work will be varied but rewarding as you will be part of a team contributing towards positive outcomes for young people.
