ATCO is looking for experienced Class G Gasfitters with experience in the Construction Utilities and/or Energy Sector to join our Metro Faults Response Team. This position is responsible for undertaking a range of customer service activities associated with the gas distribution network in line with ATCO Gas Australias Asset Management Plan and relevant policies and procedures. This is a highly independent role responsible for various activities associated with the gas distribution network.
What you will do:
- Undertake Faults and Emergency Response activities Residential and Commercial meter changes Reconnects/ Disconnects Leak Detection including (maintenance and meter compliance) associated with the Gas Distribution Network.
- Operate machinery equipment and tools in accordance with the relevant Policies and Procedures.
- Liaises with customers and other stakeholders to ensure that any disruption to supply or any work that impacts customers are fully communicated and where possible minimised.
- Participates in the 24/7 On Call Roster at nominated intervals throughout the business cycle.
- Undertake safe work practices and requirements to ATCO Policies and Procedures.
- Develop and foster relationships with other networks and alliances with relevant contractors stakeholders and customers.
What you will bring:
- Energy Safety Class G Gas fitting Licence and a current C class drivers licence.
- Experience and knowledge of installation and maintenance of Gas appliances.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with members of the general public our contractors and our community.
