High School Special Education Instructional Support Teacher
Description:
Pinnacle Charter High School is seeking a skilled and collaborative educator to serve as a High School Instructional Support Teacher providing academic support in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math for students receiving special education services. This is a certified teaching positionnot a paraprofessional roleand does not require a special education license. Applicants must hold a valid Colorado teaching credential.
In this role you will be supervised by a high school administrator and work closely with the licensed Special Education Teacher and SPED Coordinator to deliver targeted instructional support to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Key responsibilities include supporting students within general education classrooms facilitating small group and individualized instruction scaffolding grade-level content and monitoring academic progress toward IEP goals. This position supports but does not manage IEP compliance or special education case management.
The ideal candidate is committed to inclusive education skilled in differentiating instruction and experienced in building collaborative relationships with general education teachers. We are looking for an educator who believes in supporting all students in accessing rigorous grade-level learning.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to: High School Principal and/or High School Assistant Principal
Direct Reports: This is a non-supervisory position.

Compensation:
This is a full-time 10-month position. Salaries start at $59297 and go up based on education and years of licensed experience. Working Conditions:
Exposure/Noise Level: Occasional exposure to airborne particles fumes and outdoor weather conditions. Normal school environment with moderate to high noise level.

Physical Activities: Office environment including computer interface. Bend reach sit stand stoop talk walk and heavy person-to-person interaction with students parents peers and community members.

Other: May be required to work outside of normal working hours and travel for work related functions.
