SUMMARY:
Operates multi-line switchboard to relay incoming outgoing and interoffice calls.

High school diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE:
One year related experience and/or training
CERTIFICATES LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:
As required by the Texas Education Agency

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to students staff parents and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio percent discounts and interest.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Occasional absences are understood but regular attendance is required.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Light to moderate lifting and carrying is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Employee must maintain emotional control under stress.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The employee continuously interacts with the public and other staff and occasionally meets multiple demands from several people.
