In this position...
The selected candidate will join the Lincoln Vehicle Planning & Strategy team. Candidates will have extensive interaction with cross-functional and regional (BU) management teams to lead programs through the Pre milestone approval process. Candidates should be self-starters who are willing to work diligently in an unstructured environment where initiative creativity maturity and enthusiasm for learning are highly valued.
This is a hybrid opportunity and the team is normally onsite 3 days/ week in Dearborn MI.
ResponsibilitiesWhat youll do...
- Support development of compelling product proposition to meet customer expectations - Support development of prioritized customer experiences; Support identification of the Winning Aspiration and profitability objective; Translate customer priorities into actionable items; Drive feature creation/prioritization and incorporation; Supportcustomer research events
- Lead program assumptions development process - Lead process with functions and attribute leads to define efficient program content that meets all program requirements; Develop and maintain program assumptions to support the Planning process
- Lead development of cost targets to be compatible with profitability and revenue strategies Lead business case analyses of program choices; optimize Corporate financial targets
- Lead Milestone paper creation and reviews Develop strategic theme / narrative financial schedules action descriptions and metrics updates that lead to alignment and approval
- Support definition of FAR business strategy grounded in design thinking using strategic choice cascades - Drive ecosystem business model development

QualificationsYoull have...
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Business or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
- 3 years of experience in a large enterprise or global company.
- 5 years of experience in a Business Strategy Program/Project Management and/or Technical Planning role with skills including:
- Strong Business Acumen & Strategic Planning / Thinking with a Global / Enterprise mindset; willingness to challenge past norms to define future success
- Well-developed ability to shape the product strategy while leaning on project management skills
- A strong desire to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability and willingness to navigate in a process-less space and still achieve aspirational results.
- Ability to work with all employee levels from technical personnel to senior management
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Experience in working across cultural and organizational borders
Even better you may have
- MBA or Masters Degree in Engineering or related field
- Automotive Industry experience.
- Self-motivated eager to take responsibility and deliver results with minimal supervision (strong)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of GPDS and GTDS processes and deliverables
