Job Overview:
The Contract Manager would be responsible for the administration and management of all critical contracts related to the company s business operations. This role involves reviewing contracts ensuring contractual compliance post signing and resolving any contractual disputes through stakeholder consultations during the lifecycle of the contract till closure.
The Contract Manager will work closely with various departments capture their requirements and schedule of activities to ensure that contractual obligations are met and that risks are minimized.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Administration
Manage all critical contracts throughout the lifecycle from inception to renewal and closure.
Ensure proper records of contracts amendments and correspondence are maintained and shared.
Ensure a proper kick-off meeting between all relevant stakeholders within the organization and with the contractor.
Prepare all relevant documents certificates warranties guarantees etc. for contract closure.
Ensure that all conditions of the contracts are fulfilled by the Employer and the Contractor.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for certificates warranties guarantees etc. which are needed for contract closure.
Resolving any contractual disputes through stakeholder consultations during the lifecycle of the contract till closure
Organize lessons learned exercises at relevant milestones: end of a negotiation end of the contract itself or after any major event related to the contract life.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with the contract and performance with the relevant departments.
Ensure that the terms and conditions related to payments schedule deliverables etc are strictly followed to avoid any deviation. Also highlight the same to the relevant department timely in case of any deviation observed.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with all the internal departments (Legal procurement construction PMO Accounts etc. to ensure alignment and address all contract related issues.
Promote awareness of the contract among the Project team and ensure that the Project team has clear understanding of the contractual obligations of all parties involved.
Performance Monitoring reporting and Claim Management
Evaluate and monitor contract performance while ensuring all parties meet contractual obligations. Raise flags in case of any deviation to the relevant department in timely manner.
Produce a SWOT (Strength Weakness Opportunities Threats) analysis of the contract and the associated mitigation plan.
Report periodically to the management on contract status performance metrics and risks.
Receive and analyse all incoming claims with all relevant departments and ensuring proper responses to the claims (including counter claims if any) are filed within contractual stipulated timelines.
Proactively analyse contracts and raise claims to the contractor (if applicable) basis the contractors performance. Collaborate with relevant departments for documentation record keeping claim submission within the relevant timelines.
Skills Required:
Proven experience in contract negotiation administration and management
Relevant experience in contract management in Renewable energy industry
Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze complex information and provide strategic solutions.
Bachelor s degree in engineering / legal with MBA an added advantage.
