Job Summary
Company Overview:
Manufacturing company seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist with a strong general accounting background. An ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in bookkeeping cost accounting within a manufacturing environment and thrives in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable transactions accurately and timely
Match batch and code invoices for goods and services
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Assist with month-end closing and journal entries as needed
Support cost accounting efforts including inventory and job costing analysis
Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with company policies
Communicate effectively with vendors purchasing and internal teams
Assist with audits and prepare supporting documentation
Utilize accounting software systems
Requirements:
Minimum 15 years of bookkeeping and general accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing setting but not required
Proven experience in AP processing
Experience with APTEAN or other ERP systems is a strong plus
Understanding of general and cost accounting principles
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
