The Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and attentive Italian-Speaking Content Moderator to join our on-site team in Porto. In this crucial position you will play a key role in reviewing user-generated content ensuring it aligns with platform guidelines and directly contributing to the well-being and security of our online community. This presents an excellent opportunity for those passionate about internet safety and responsible digital conduct. While prior experience in content moderation or a similar field is beneficial its not a strict requirement; we prioritize developing talent and offer comprehensive training to equip you with all necessary skills.
Core Responsibilities:
- Content Assessment: Examine and analyze user-created content (such as videos images text and audio) submitted to a major online platform verifying its adherence to established community rules and policies.
- Policy Enforcement: Consistently and accurately apply platform policies to identify and take appropriate action on content that violates guidelines including but not limited to hate speech misinformation bullying and graphic material.
- Critical Thinking & Judgment: Utilize sound judgment and critical thinking to make swift and precise decisions regarding content often under pressure.
- Record Keeping: Meticulously document all content review decisions and actions taken within designated internal systems ensuring clear and consistent records.
- Trend Identification: Recognize emerging content trends or potential policy gaps and escalate these observations to relevant internal teams for further investigation and policy refinement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team leads and other online safety specialists to ensure uniform application of guidelines and to share best practices.
- Personal Well-being Management: Utilize available well-being support resources to manage exposure to potentially sensitive content.
What Were Seeking:
- Language Fluency: Native or near-native proficiency in Italian (both spoken and written) is crucial. A strong professional working proficiency in English is also required for internal communication training and understanding policies.
- Strong Ethical Stance: A deep commitment to online safety and a clear understanding of how harmful content impacts online communities.
- Analytical & Judgment Skills: Excellent analytical abilities with the capacity to quickly grasp complex guidelines and apply them to diverse content scenarios.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulousness to ensure accurate content categorization and policy enforcement.
- Resilience & Emotional Intelligence: The ability to handle exposure to sensitive and potentially distressing content while maintaining emotional resilience and professionalism.
- Adaptability: The capacity to learn rapidly adjust to evolving content trends and policy changes and perform effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Tech Savvy: Comfort with navigating various internal tools content review platforms and general computer applications.
- Team Player: A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared objectives.
- Prior Experience (Advantageous Not Mandatory): While any previous experience in content moderation online safety customer service or a related field is beneficial it is not a mandatory prerequisite. We provide extensive paid training to equip you with all the necessary skills and knowledge.
