The Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated Client Executive within the Financial Services team within our Melbourne office to play a pivotal role in driving the growth and depth of a key strategic account. This role is offered on a full-time permanent basis and requires a significant on-site presence to become a trusted visible contact for the client.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work with EYs leadership team to manage one of our largest and most complex accounts through the origination of new opportunities and the development of sincere lasting client relationships.
  • Manage the sales process for a portfolio of strategic opportunities (including identifying and closing new business).
  • Drive the sales of large complex technology-enabled transformation projects and managed services engagements ensuring alignment with client needs and organisational goals.
  • Take ownership of understanding client challenges and engaging the right EY resources to architect and close new business opportunities.
  • Ensure consistent pricing and contractual arrangements within the account.
  • Conduct win/loss reviews to determine what factors caused the firm to win or lose business and proactively share this information with the account team.
  • Coach the account team regarding the account management activities including the account management system.

What we look for

Critical to your success in the role you will possess:

  • Demonstrated experience selling to or managing relationships with C-suite executives and heads of business units within Financial Services.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to utilise your personal presence and networks to uncover and develop new opportunities.
  • A proven ability to lead virtual teams brought together around an account opportunity.
  • A high degree of self-drive and tenacity with the ability to proactively manage your own priorities in an autonomous environment.
  • Sufficient technical literacy to talk credibly on core topics (such as Cyber Data AI) while engaging technical experts for deep-dive conversations.
  • Detailed financial knowledge gained through selling complex solutions.

Ideally youll also have the skills and attributes below but dont worry if you dont tick all the boxes. Were interested in your aptitude attitude and willingness to learn.

  • 10 years experience in a strategic sales or senior account management environment with a proven track record in the Financial Services sector.
  • Ability to facilitate the implementation of a strategic relationship management process.
  • Experience leading account strategy workshops and facilitating budgeting planning and forecasting processes on an annual basis.
