Through Fidelitys mission to deliver the best client experience in the financial services industry Strategic Advisers (SAI) aims to bring simplicity to clients complex needs through personalized scalable solutions. SAI is the end-to-end investment management team for Fidelitys managed accounts business providing scalable personalized investment solutions for Fidelitys clients across the Personal Investing Workplace Investing and Fidelity Institutional channels. SAI is a rapidly growing organization currently managing over $1T in assets across 3.6M client accounts.

Strategic Advisers SAI Investment Operations Retail (Goal & Account Management)

The SAI Investment Operations team is a central organization within Strategic Advisers responsible for leading the front office operations for SAIs 2.5 million retail client accounts by supporting the day-to-day operations and critical oversight for goals and account management. This team collaborates across the business and with channel partners to ensure end-to-end excellence of operational processes in support of trading the investment teams and our clients.

About the Role:

The Investment Operations Analyst provides essential operational support for Strategic Advisers managed accounts. This includes researching and resolving issues collaborating with partner business units addressing inquiries from channel representatives and Investment Managers and executing daily operational tasks. Success requires a proactive approach to problem identification and resolution strong communication skills across various platforms and the ability to manage daily operational assignments effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelors degree required.
  • Experience:2-3 years of experience in financial services preferably in operations technology or managed accounts.

Key Requirements:

  • Operational Execution:Proven ability to execute daily operational functions.
  • Relationship Management:Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Problem Solving:Analytical mindset with intellectual curiosity and an ability to identify analyze and resolve issues.
  • Communication:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive Monitoring:Ability to identify adverse trends/issues and escalate to management.
  • Advanced Excel Skills:High proficiency in Excel including macros and VLookups.
  • Desirable Technical Skills:Experience with data querying/reporting tools such as SQL TOAD and Tableau.
  • Preferred Background:Experience with Corporate Actions Managed Accounts Technology and/or Data is a plus.

Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Provide comprehensive investment operations support for retail managed account offerings.
  • Investigate and resolve account issues communicating resolutions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert supporting Operations and Platform teams.
  • Responsible for completion of simple and moderately complex processing functions including Inbox Management Debits Low Complexity Errors and various assigned tasks
  • Works with managers and business partners to resolve moderately to highly complex issues related to assigned work
  • Recognizes outliers or abnormalities when completing tasks and raises observations to Sr Managers
  • Applies proficient knowledge of primary concepts theories and practices or professional/technical discipline
  • Basic industry / market knowledge
  • Understanding of Managed Account Business
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word Outlook and Excel
  • Able to run queries using SQL
  • Able to navigate FBSI and XTRAC

The base salary range for this position is $58000-$91000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope geographic location candidates relevant experience and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
