Spanish Language Instructor (Group Class Weekly)
Location: The Petersen
Schedule: Once per week (flexible day)
Compensation: $125.00-$150.00 per hour (this is a Contract opportunity)
About the Role:
The Petersen is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Spanish Language Instructor to lead a weekly group class for adult learners. Familiarity with Spanish as spoken in Mexico is a plus as many of our participants are interested in regional language nuances and cultural context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engaging interactive group classes focused on conversational Spanish and basic language fundamentals
Adapt lessons to suit a range of language levels (beginner to intermediate) - Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Encourage participation through creative activities like role-play group dialogue or games to reinforce learning
Qualifications:
- Fluency in Spanish preferably with roots or regional fluency from Mexico
- Proven experience teaching Spanish in a group or classroom setting
- Strong communication skills and a passion for language and culture
- Dependable and able to commit to a regular weekly class
Preferred:
- Teaching certification or language education credentials
- Experience teaching adults in community or cultural institutions
