What you will be doing:


The Vice President (VP) of Technology is a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for aligning the institutions technology vision with its strategic objectives. This role provides leadership and oversight for all information systems enterprise applications digital infrastructure data governance and cybersecurity initiatives. The VP of Technology ensures that technology solutions enhance operational effectiveness regulatory compliance student experience and institutional growth.


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive multi-year technology roadmap aligned with institutional strategic priorities
  • Lead enterprise-wide technology initiatives that drive operational efficiency scalability compliance and institutional growth
  • Serve as a thought partner to executive leadership on innovation process automation and efficiencies through technology enhancements and digital transformation
  • Establish and enforce technology governance frameworks including risk management cybersecurity compliance and accreditation requirements
  • Provide leadership in identifying emerging technologies particularly in AI machine learning and automation to optimize institutional processes and enhance student experience
  • Direct the planning and execution of user acceptance testing for system upgrades enhancements and new implementations
  • Establish annual department budget to include equipment system and human resources to support operations effectively and efficiently
  • Develop and oversee the institutions AI strategy including implementation of AI-driven tools to enhance operational efficiency student support student learning and academic services
  • Oversee IT asset management policies including hardware/software inventory licensing lifecycle management and documentation
  • Direct the operation security and integration of core enterprise platforms
  • Develop/analyze/prioritize requirement specs data mapping flowcharts for developers/testers
  • Ensure system scalability performance security and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee enterprise architecture software development and system integration to support growth and new program initiatives
  • Oversee requirements gathering documentation and business analysis efforts to ensure alignment between institutional needs and system capabilities
  • Provide executive oversight for institutional research data governance and data strategy initiatives
  • Build lead and mentor a high-performing technology team aligned with organizational needs.
  • Directly oversee functional teams including:
  • Business Systems Analysts (BSAs)
  • IT Support Team Members
  • Data Team Members
  • Lead system and technology training initiatives partnering with the HR and relevant shared services teams to design and deliver ongoing staff development in technology platforms security protocols and business systems
  • Set monitor and report departmental KPIs and continuous improvement objectives
  • Lead the development and implementation of institution-wide cybersecurity strategy including proactive threat management data privacy disaster recovery and business continuity planning
