Responsibilities

Job Summary:

As our Environmental Services Lead you will take pride in providing a clean and safe environment for our patients visitors and staff. In the absence of the supervisor you will lead the work of Environmental Services employees. You will serve as a role model by demonstrating top-notch environmental service skills and courteous and professional behavior toward patients physicians visitors volunteers and other employees.

Essential Duties:

  • You will lead a team of staff during your shift to support the hospital in maintaining standards.
  • Executes the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe hygienic and aesthetically pleasing care environment.
  • Responsible for cleaning and disinfection of all areas of the facility including speciality units.
  • Performs all types of floor care and maintenance throughout the facility including hard surfaces and carpeting.
  • Performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge of the health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements proper and safe chemical use equipment handling and labor saving products for all items within the specialty environment tasked with servicing.
  • Assist in onboarding new Environment Services Technicians and serve as a mentor.
  • Remain patient kind and personable in all interactions with patients visitors and staff.

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED preferred.

Previous experience in commercial/healthcare cleaning preferred.
