Two Rivers Supervisory Union seeks a school based clinician to provide clinical mental health services for the students in Bridges a small alternative program housed at Green Mountain Union High School. This new program provides an alternative path to completing high school for students who have not been successful in mainstream classes and are facing behavioral emotional or mental health challenges. The school based clinician will offer individual group or in milieu of support based on student need. They will possess strong clinical skills and be comfortable utilizing multiple therapeutic modalities. The clinician will work closely with special educators behavioral interventionists paraeducators school counselors and other clinical staff to create and provide appropriate therapeutic programming and clinical services. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to connect with and build relationships with adolescents a strong understanding of trauma and mental health issues as they impact the educational setting and be comfortable coordinating services with other school staff and outside providers. While this position requires a high level of clinical skill the school based clinician will also be flexible in their treatment planning willing to support clients with creative non-traditional interventions and work within a variety of settings. Duties may include:-Completing new client assessments intakes and treatment plans.-Providing individual and group counseling-Work to develop relationships with families and other providers on a students team-Collaborate with Bridges and other school staff to develop student plans.-Support students in working with general education classroom teachers-Attend team and IEP meetings -participate in appropriate group meetings and activities in order to facilitate therapeutic interventions in real time position is a .5 FTE school year Rivers Supervisory Union is an equal opportunity employer.
