The North Central Texas Council of Governments or NCTCOG is a voluntary association of by and for local governments and was established to assist local governments in planning for common needs cooperating for mutual benefit and coordinating for sound purpose is to strengthen both the individual and collective power of local governments and to help them recognize regional opportunities eliminate unnecessary duplication and make joint decisions. NCTCOGs Environment & Development Department assists member governments in planning for common environmental issues and development challenges. The department has created and/or provides support for various environmental outreach and education programs in the region as well as various local and regional projects and studies. More detailed information about the departments programs can be found at the following link: Environment & Development Department is seeking a detail-oriented professional to join its team and assist with tasks for department projects and programs related to public works energy conservation regional sustainability initiatives building codes materials management and other programs as needed. There will also potentially be times when the successful candidate is working on other department projects outside of these areas as assistance is needed. Tasks for these programs include but are not limited to coordinating the annual Public Works Roundup facilitating webinars workshops and meetings and collaborating with committee members and stakeholders. The successful candidate will also be working on tasks covering a wide range of sustainability and public works related topics including community/infrastructure development energy efficiency and conservation materials management and more.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and at least one year and up to three-years related work experience.
Salary: $60000 to $70000 commensurate with experience

Additional Information:
Location: Hybrid Work Option. Employees currently work part of each week in NCTCOGs offices in Arlington Texas and part of each week remotely from home within the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
