Overview:
The Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for providing promotion and support to company health and wellness efforts case management with work-related injuries case management illnesses and other general health issues. This position will provide services to multiple facilities located in northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama.
Responsibilities:
- Provide core nursing services and support to work-related injuries illnesses and accidents
- Administer basic health and medical services including vital signs first aid injections lab draws oral/urine drug screens etc.
- Participate and assist with pre-placement and/or post-employment health assessments
- Maintain all applicable and appropriate health and medical information in the record keeping system
- Assist with the delivery and implementation of on-site wellness programs services and events
- Manage monitor and check equipment supplies and other nursing/medical related operational systems and services
- Conduct CPR/First Aid/AED and Stop The Bleed training
- Support company-related efforts including workers compensation case management leave of absence/FML administration safety and general HR responsibilities
- Perform procedures under the guidance of the Nurse Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Current certification in the State of Georgia and ability to obtain license in multiple states
- CPR Instructor Certified preferred
- Compliance with Clia waived laboratory standards HIPPA PHI DOT and other applicable regulatory and legal guidelines
- Ability to protect and maintain confidentiality and privacy
- Exceptional customer service and patient care
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain effective and organized schedules and systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel PowerChart SPM and Outlook
