Job Summary:
The University of Colorado School of Medicine (CUSOM) seeks an innovative and collaborative Student Progress Director to serve under the Associate Dean for Medical Education - Office of Assessment Evaluations and Outcomes (AEO). The Student Progress Director will work to provide strategic leadership in student remediation academic progression and faculty development within the University of Colorado School of Medicine MD program. This role works in close partnership with the Office of Student Life (OSL) COMPASS Guides curriculum leaders and key committees including the Student Promotions Committee Student Professionalism Committee and Curriculum Steering Committee (CSC) to implement a structured data-driven approach to remediation. Responsibilities will also include developing individualized remediation action plans for students on academic warning directing a mastery course for individual students as part of remediation and working directly with students on academic warning. Additionally the Director leads faculty development initiatives aimed at enhancing the institutions ability to support struggling learners through training mentorship and resource coordination.
Supervision Received: This position reports directly to the Associate Dean for AEO.
Supervision Exercised: This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but will serve as Chair of the Trek Progress Committee. The role includes indirect supervision of program coordinators and faculty involved in student support and remediation processes.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
Instructor: The salary range for this position is set between $37500 - $75000 representing an estimated 0.3 FTE salary support plus benefits. The final offer will be capped at $250000 annually and will depend on the individuals current 1.0 FTE salary.
Assistant Professor: The salary range for this position is set between $37500 - $75000 representing an estimated 0.3 FTE salary support plus benefits. The final offer will be capped at $250000 annually and will depend on the individuals current 1.0 FTE salary.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
