POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Supervisor Financial Counseling Shared Services this position effectively captures patient liabilities while providing financial counseling to patients/guarantors who require assistance in seeking and applying for healthcare funding (e.g. Charity Care or other local/governmental assistance programs) and/or require assistance in reviewing and establishing payment options prior-to-service at time-ofservice and/or post-service. Determines the financial status of the patient during the financial counseling process and coordinates benefit authorization and management. Ensures compliance and exceptional customer service when working with patients/guarantors. Contributes to the success of a high-performing shared services organization by helping to drive the long-term Johns Hopkins Medicine Shared Services vision. Helps foster an environment in which continuous improvement in business processes and services is welcomed and recognized

Salary Range: Minimum 18.59/hour - Maximum 30.69/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
