What is great about this role
T Croeso is a 10-bed supported living accommodation that provides support to people who are experiencing homelessness aged 18 and over. This is mainly a Lone Working role but also a very rewarding one. You will be working with a diverse group of people from varying backgrounds some of whom may have experienced trauma and may have complex needs suffering with their mental health as well as low level substance and alcohol issues. Supporting people to make positive informed choices to move forwards in their lives to enable them to manage their tenancies and so preventing further homelessness. Every day is different youll be learning new skills and have opportunity to work with a variety of agencies for the benefit of our clients. We engage with the people we support through positive meaningful activities and provide a Psychologically Informed Environment.
Day to Day Duties:
As a Lead Project Worker your day will consist of:
Engaging and interacting with the people we support
Support the manager & the project staff with the day to day running of the scheme
Ensuring that the service provides a psychological informed environment
Lead meetings and direct project staff in conjunction with the scheme manager
Support to induct & train new staff members
Manage the scheme in the managers absence
Attend external meetings in managers absence
Supervise team members
To work in partnership with Supporting People and our recovery lead/welfare benefits worker/Housing Management team to support people towards the best outcomes they can achieve
Provide a continuous and consistent approach to support for vulnerable adults helping them make the transition into independent living and advising them on re-housing options
Provide support with budgeting and money management including welfare benefits
Provide support in a practical way with regards to education training and employment and day to day living
Liaise with Social Services the Benefit Agency Housing Department GDS CAB Health and Safety and other agencies on matters affecting prospective
Our aim is to ensure we equip these individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs including alcohol misuse mental health substance misuse and anti-social and offending behaviour. You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental.

Work Pattern: The scheme is covered 24 hours 7 days a week so you would be expected to work day shifts evening shifts weekends waking nights
For this role you will require an Enhanced DBS check which we pay for.
