Job Description

Working with us at SGL Carbon Fibers no two days will be the same. If you are looking for job variety within a great team then this could be the role for you.

We are looking for a Process Operator to join our Production Department. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity.

Your opportunity:

  • Carry out tests and inspections on product and plant as described in Work Instructions to ensure optimal operations.
  • Perform basic maintenance and laboratory tasks as defined in the Line Check List to maximise efficiency
  • This position will be rotated with other members of the team with the aim that all members will be come qualified and experienced on all activitites on the line over time.
  • Within indiviual range of competence to assist in or set up operate and close down the process equipment as directed to meet the production plan
  • Contribute to the team activity of ensuring appropriate resources are available for the shift
  • Ensure efficient and complete handover to colleague on proceeding and following shift to maintain required manufacturing
  • To work on all line and ancillary processes to meet Company objectives for customer service Health & Safety manufacturing efficiency Environmental and Quality
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping to minimise hazards and accidents.

Your Profile:

  • Proven Production experience preferably in continous process
  • Standard Grade English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Commitment to achieving and maintaining a high level of safety
  • Ability to operate successfully and effectively in a team
  • Evidence of setting high work standards and a commitment to quality
  • Able to demonstrate experience of working to statutory and company requirements on Health & Safety Quality and Environment.
  • Evidence of adaptability and a proactive approach to work

Please note: This role is initially on a 12 month temporary contract

Salary: 31555.82 per annum depending on experience
