Job Description

Position Summary

A full time opportunity for a Psychiatrist in our inpatient Womens Trauma and Concurrent Program starting July 2025. The Womens Trauma & Concurrent program is one of the first of its kind in Canada - a groundbreaking initiative offering intensive treatment tailored specifically for women* with complex trauma. New trauma treatment modalities will be carefully integrated and researched making this a pioneer in service delivery and research involving trauma. This new program further integrates care for co-occurring substance use disorders (where required) providing a fully comprehensive approach to treatment. This position is within our elective Homewood Specialized Services delivering evidence-based treatments and superior treatment outcomes. This program is delivered on-site at the Homewood Health Centre in Guelph in a collaborative manner with a supportive interdisciplinary team which includes nurses registered psychotherapists nurse practitioners occupational therapists recreational therapists music therapists and horticulture therapists. In this role you will be responsible for the psychiatric care of patients as they engage in their recovery journey. This position is open to persons of all genders.
