Job Description
We are seeking an experienced QC/QA Electrical Design Supervisor to lead quality assurance efforts in utility distribution design and construction projects. Youll manage a team of planners/designers ensure compliance with industry standards and drive continuous improvement in project quality and execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead QC reviews of electrical distribution (OH/UG) designs.
- Supervise mentor and assign tasks to design team members.
- Support planning engineering and design for utility distribution systems.
- Review site plans for accuracy; resolve design issues.
- Manage infrastructure programs (e.g. Grid Resiliency DOTS).
- Develop and maintain quality control policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
Qualifications
- 8 years in utility distribution transmission or electrical engineering.
- Strong QC/QA background in the electrical utility sector.
- Proficient in SPIDA O-Calc AutoCAD/AUD/Microstation (preferred) MS Office.
- Skilled in reading technical drawings and specs.
- Effective leader with strong communication and project management skills.
- Regulatory and standards knowledge required.
