Job Description
Job Title: CNC Machinist 1st & 2nd Shift
Location: Brimfield IL
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (Full-Time Hours)
Industry: Heavy Equipment Manufacturing / Metal Fabrication
We are currently seeking skilled and experienced CNC Machinists for both 1st and 2nd shifts. Youll work on precision machining tasks using CNC lathes and mills to support the production of heavy-duty components used in specialty transport equipment. Key Responsibilities-
Perform setup and operation of CNC lathes and mills according to part specifications

Read and interpret blueprints GD&T inspection instructions and job orders

Download CNC programs set tooling make offsets and verify materials match the program

Inspect finished parts using micrometers calipers and other precision measurement tools

Load/unload and secure parts using hoists cranes or manual lifting (up to 50 lbs)

Maintain quality and safety standards in a clean organized work area

Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to meet output goals

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Minimum 3 years of hands-on CNC machining experience

Proficient in blueprint reading and use of precision measurement instruments

Familiarity with live tooling and C-axis operations is a plus

Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed

Willingness to work either 1st or 2nd shift as required by production demand

1st Shift: Standard day shift hours
-
2nd Shift: Includes a 15% shift differential
