Overview
Job Summary:
Consider joining the Pennex family as a CNC Operator at our York PA location. The CNC Operator is responsible for CNC machine operation and production to meet customer requirements. This is a second shift position working from 3pm to 11pm.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the operation of the CNC machining centers within the Fabrication Shop. There may be additional work on other production equipment as necessary.
- Performs set-up of CNC equipment to the customer specifications.
- Advises supervisor of any new tooling needed for new programs.
- Provides proper care and basic maintenance of tooling and equipment.
- Maintains good housekeeping.
- Follows all safety protocols and standards.
- Inspects finished product using precision measuring tools such as calipers or micrometers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- 1 to 3 years of previous CNC experience
- Previous experience with CNC programming software
Other Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Ability to solve problems
- A desire to work in a fast-paced hands-on manufacturing environment
- Highly motivated self-driven and eager to learn and apply new skills
- Attentive to details and follows through on assigned tasks and commitments
- Flexible and driven to meet tight deadlines handle multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be eligible to work in the United States visa sponsorships are not available
- Must have regular attendance

- The employee is regularly required to stand.
- The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit and use hands.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision and depth perception.
Work Environment
- The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.
