Advanced Systems Administration Specialist
Onsite Location: Manassas VA 20110
Required: Secret Clearance
W2 Hourly Long-Term Contract to hire
$50.00 - $61.00 per hour with limited benefits
No C2C No 1099 we can NOT work with outside agencies/vendors

SR. SYSTEMS ENGINEER
As a Advanced Systems Administration Specialist youll serve as a front-line interface to users with technical issues by conducting systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science a related field or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong Linux background
- Solid understanding of server based operating systems
- Enhanced troubleshooting skills within the server OS as well as both networking and storage technologies
- Working knowledge to create and run scripts to automate repetitive processes
Knowledge of the following will be required: LINUX Active Directory SCAP and STIG compliance
Knowledge of the following will be extremely beneficial: Windows Server 2016/ 2019 Windows 10/11 DNS Group Policy WSUS Exchange SharePoint Nessus Splunk and various software products such as Adobe Skype etc.
Responsibilities
- Installing new software troubleshooting issues working with Active Directory for account administration Group Policy DNS WSUS and training users.
- Responsible for the day-to-day support of server services by performing server administration for physical and virtual server operating systems and building configuring maintaining and troubleshooting of physical and virtual hardware and network related interfaces on servers.
- Responsible for all ConMon and compliance activities for servers & workstations.
- Perform OS and vendor software patching on servers and monitor physical and virtual servers performance using monitoring tools. You will be expected apply STIGs run SCAP and/or Nessus scans.
