About the role

As the Mechanical Fitter your primary focus will be to perform maintenance repairs and upgrades to ensure the operational readiness and performance of these critical assets for the Royal Australian Navy.

This role is integral to maintaining the highest standards of reliability safety and functionality in a challenging and highly technical environment.

About you

Are you passionate about large defence projects Babcock Australasia are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team supporting the Collins Class Submarines for the Royal Australian Navy.

You will have a strong commitment to safety quality and precision coupled with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and highly technical environment.

To be successful in this position you will bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Trade
• Current forklift license and manual drivers licence
• Highlevel of hydraulic and pneumatic system understanding
• Understanding of quality principles and procedures
• Understanding of submarine and ship systems
