Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair VFD control boards and electronic components down to the circuit level.
- Assist repair technicians in diagnosing and solving recurring board issues.
- Develop and improve testing and repair methods for electronic systems.
- Perform advanced soldering (through-hole and surface mount) and component replacement.
- Use diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters oscilloscopes DC power supplies and thermal imaging cameras.
- Support equipment breakdown assembly and testing in the shop and in the field.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and reverse-engineer circuits as needed.
- Maintain a clean organized and professional repair environment.
Qualifications:
- Formal degree preferred (Electrical Engineering or related) but not required with equivalent hands-on experience.
- Proven experience with PCB-level diagnostics and component-level repairs.
- Strong soldering skills (surface mount and through-hole).
- Working knowledge of integrated circuits and electrical component testing.
- VFD repair experience is highly desirable.
- Prior work in the Oil & Gas sector is a plus.
