About The Role:

Reporting to the VP of HR melin is looking for a highly motivated HR Manager to join our human development team. The HR Manager should have exceptional interpersonal skills and have demonstrated success identifying and building highly productive and extremely passionate and successful teams. With a focus on integrity this person should be well versed in assembling and developing teams through recruitment attraction onboarding and ongoing reinvestment into team members. We are seeking someone who thrives on building trust listening and proactively addressing needs. This person should have a proven track record of talent development and retention. They will be a strong communicator and able to balance priorities and requests across multiple projects and work in tandem with cross-functional partners and brand department leads (Executive Brand Marketing Creative Product Retail Ecommerce Sales). This person should have experience in either action sports lifestyle fashion or the entertainment industry and be well-versed in all facets of human resource law compliance and diligence. They are responsible for helping grow the brand through an innate ability to build rapport with leaders listen to their needs and seek the perfect puzzle pieces to perpetuate the companys growth and incredible culture of hardest workers in the room here to leave it better than they found it. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Talent Acquisition and Management:

  • Recruiting and Hiring: Developing and implementing recruitment strategies sourcing candidates conducting interviews and making hiring decisions.
  • Onboarding: Ensuring new hires are integrated into the organization and provided with the necessary resources and training.
  • Performance Management: Partner with managers to evaluate employee performance.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs develop and implement training programs and oversee professional development initiatives.

Employee Relations and Compliance:

  • Employee Relations: Addressing employee concerns resolving conflicts and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Compliance: Ensuring the organization complies with all applicable HR laws and regulations including employment law wage and hour laws and disability laws.

Policy Development:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals and legal requirements.

Benefits Management:

  • In partnership with VP of Human Resources manage benefits programs (health insurance retirement plans etc.).

Payroll Administration:

  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payments to employees.

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Workplace Safety and Well-being: Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment promoting employee well-being and implementing workplace safety programs.
  • Communication: Communicating HR policies procedures and information to employees in a clear and effective manner.
  • Collaboration: Working with other departments and stakeholders to support organizational goals and achieve HR objectives.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications Skills Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • HR Certification required; SHRM CP preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in HR management.
  • Minimum 2 years of recruiting employee onboarding experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employee labor laws compliance and benefits administration.
  • Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent leadership interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HR software and systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Confidentiality and discretion required; attention to detail a must.
  • Team player positive can-do attitude.

Location & Office Structure: This is an in-office hybrid position mandatory 4 days per week in office in San Clemente CA with the option to work from home 1 day per week.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $80000 to $110000 plus opportunity for annual bonus; salary is based on the experience that you bring to the position.
