Job Description

General Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced LCSW Resident Services Senior Group Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of a group home serving individuals with chronic mental illness. This role will be responsible for ensuring a safe supportive and therapeutic environment that promotes the well-being and independence of residents. This role requires strong leadership skills a deep understanding of mental health conditions and experience in managing a team.

Supervisory responsibilities:

  • Recruit interview and train new hires in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Oversees the group home management setting clear expectations providing guidance and fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide timely feedback including corrective action when necessary.
  • Handle disciplinary actions and terminations in accordance with company policy with a fair and transparent process.
  • Consistently perform all duties within the framework of our Core Values.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

State & County Compliance:

  • Confirm the group homes compliance with state and county regulations including CBRF (Community-Based Residential Facilities) requirements (DHS 83) and crisis stabilization protocols.
  • Lead state and county audits verifying all documentation and operational standards are met.
  • Regularly monitor and meet compliance of licensing safety and operational standards to avoid violations and improve the quality of services.

Clinical Excellence & Supervision:

  • Routine onsite visits to serve as the primary licensed clinician overseeing the clinical care and development of Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
  • Actively monitor client rights misconduct and ethical concerns addressing issues that do not meet state and professional standards.
  • Provide guidance to staff on clinical excellence treatment strategies and best practices for residents with mental health conditions.

Recordkeeping & Case Management:

  • Maintain accurate and organized resident records ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations for documentation and privacy (HIPAA).
  • Complete required reports and statistical records.
  • Review documentation in case management system for efficient tracking and accurate reporting.

Budget & Financial Oversight:

  • Oversee group home budget and audit expenses to meet financial goals.
  • Review and track expenditures reporting any variances to senior leadership.
  • Identify areas for cost savings without compromising the quality of care or services.

Community Collaboration & Agency Partnerships:

  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with community agencies case workers and other service providers to enhance the overall quality of care and resources for residents.
  • Participate in local mental health community groups to advocate for better services and resources to meet residents needs.

Mental Health & HUD Regulations:

  • Maintain a strong understanding of state and county mental health service systems to align with best practices evolving standards and policy changes.
  • Review HUD housing regulations and the process to help residents apply for housing subsidies.

Physical Presence & Oversight at Group Homes:

  • Regularly visit group homes to ensure the operations are safe clean and therapeutic.
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentor team on policies addressing emerging challenges and handling high-risk situations.

Crisis Management & On-Call Responsibilities:

  • Respond to crisis situations with expertise and decisiveness advise proper de-escalation and intervention procedures are followed.
  • Lead staff in crisis management protocols instructing what effective practices should be executed.
Requirements

Travel Required: Ability to travel up to 10%.

Required education and/or work experience:

  • Masters degree in social work or a related field (required).
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Wisconsin (required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a residential or community-based mental health setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of mental health treatment modalities CBRF regulations HUD housing programs and crisis stabilization protocols.
  • Experience with Kipu or similar case management software is highly preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid drivers license and ability to pass a background check.
