JOB GOAL:
To effectively support the classroom teacher to ensure positive student achievement.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School Diploma or GED and
- ValidArizonaFingerprint Clearance Card
- Sixty (60) College Credits or ability to pass theParaProTest

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include but are notlimited to:
- Assist the classroom teacher by performing tasks which support the instructional program.
- Assist in the instruction of students working individually or in small groups.
- May monitor student activities such as test-taking study hall cafeteria or field trips.
- Distributes materials to students.
- May facilitate adjustment of new students to program.
- May assist students with special needs.
- Performs related duties as required.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- 9-month contract Hourly/Non-Exempt position under FLSA. Placement on Classified salary schedule by the Human Resource Director dependent upon education and experience

- Must pass Department ofPublic Safety Fingerprint clearance check.
- Must beUnited Statescitizen or have valid work visa at date of hire with the ability to maintain. All changes in visa status must be reported to Human Resources immediately.Photo identification and work visa (if necessary) will be needed for fingerprint clearance card and I-9 documentation prior to first day of work.
EVALUATION:
- Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of ClassifiedPersonnel.

- Valid government issued identificationor current work visa with expiration date.
