Job Description

EEC Graduate Program Recruitment Manager Overview:

The EEC Graduate Program Recruitment Manager enhancesIslandWoods EEC programscapacity to implement the current EEC program by taking the lead on the management of the recruitment processes recruiting students to its graduate program by assessing current recruiting systems and strategies. The manager collects data makes strategic recommendations based on experience and knowledge of best practices to improve the number caliber and quality of inquiries and applications to the program. The manager supports the submission process for prospective students and manages the logistical elements of recruitment and admissions. The Manager plays an active role in recruitment for the academic year by leading initiatives to build a robust graduate class including but not limited to cultivating prospective applicants through personal outreach leveraging professional networks collaborating with the communications team hosting online information sessions and leading campus tours for prospective and admitted students. Additionally the EEC Graduate Program Recruitment Manager collaborates with the Graduate Program Director to build and sustain Alumni relations and ensure Alumni engagement with IslandWood.

Recruitment Manager

Classification:Full-time Hourly/Non-Exempt
Work Schedule:Monday through Friday; flexible - may include some nights and weekends
Work Location:Bainbridge Island Campus; some remote work possible
Pay Range:$28.70 to $30.00/Hour

Paid Time off annual benefit:

IslandWood offers 3 weeks paid vacation floating holidays 10 annual paid holidays and 80 hours of paid annual sick leave.(Time-off prorated during first year based on start date).

Primary Responsibilities:

Managing Recruitment Program- approx. 80%

  • Manage all activities involving Recruitment of Students Enrollment and Alumnae relations.
  • Manage and maintain the Graduate Program Salesforce database of strategic contacts at universities career offices and other connections to prospective applicants
  • Setup and implement drip campaigns for prospective applicants.
  • Collaborate with Communications team on design and implementation of recruiting strategy for IslandWoods graduate programs social media campaigns video assets etc.
  • Address FAQ from prospective applicants including mission and values graduate degree and career paths general admissions policies.


Supporting the EEC Grad Program- approx. 20%


  • Represent EEC team and liaise with other internal teams (e.g. Finance Admin People and Culture Kitchen Communications and Events) at IslandWood to ensure timely communication effectiveness and sustainability
  • Collaborate with Program Director to curate EEC team and graduate student calendars
  • Support the development and lead-in implementation of data driven decision making forIslandWoods Graduate Program to ideate and implement existing and new recruiting strategies
  • Develop a tracking system that monitors alumnae engagement with a direct emphasis on recruitment service recruitment service to alumni community
  • SupportIslandWoods strategic plan to expand our mission and impact and commitment to mission vision values and goals of IslandWood
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or created through individual initiative


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Demonstrated success in recruitment or related field
  • Effective project management skills; planning and organization
  • Experience recruiting university students including those from diverse backgrounds
  • Effective teamwork skills and commitment to collaborative work
  • Understanding of Salesforce as a tool for tracking communication with applicants and alumni
  • Familiarity with gathering analyzing and synthesizing data to drive decision making
  • Commitment to support IslandWoods work towards social justice equity diversity and inclusion in the workplace
  • Must be able to comply with and maintain a drug-free work environment
  • Must pass child safety screening procedure post-offer.
