Bonus Program:

• Competitive base pay and shift differentials

Hours/Shifts: Our opening is full-time.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments as defined by state regulations in accordance with approved techniques and notes time and amount on residents chart.

• Deliver routine daily medications as prescribed by physician to residents; pass resident medications in accordance with physician orders and as stated on the Medication Administration Record (MAR).

• Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug dosage and time of administration on specified forms and records; Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered and reports to nursing supervisor.

• Presents medication to residents and observes ingestion or other application or administers medication using specified procedures

• Document completion of tasks delivered on a daily basis; Document any observed change of condition in accordance with local rules and regulations.

• Communicate between Med Techs/Med Aides about resident needs for consistent quality services.

• Participate in meal service including serving clearing and cleaning the dining room; Assures that residents are positioned appropriately for meals; Assures that appropriate utensils are within reach of residents; Serves food trays and assists with feeding as indicated; Delivers and documents all a.m. p.m. and bedtime snacks and supplements; Provides hydration to all residents according to center policy.

• Responsible for knowledge of proper procedures to provide personal care services to residents; provide requested personal care services to residents.

• Observes resident records significant conditions and reactions and notifies Nurse Supervisor or Physician of residents condition and reaction to drugs treatments and significant incidents.

• Records and restocks medication inventories.

• Prepares equipment and aids nurses during treatments and examination of residents.

• Checks residents in section regularly; Answers call light promptly; Follows through with resident problems or needs by delivering care or reporting to supervisor depending upon level of ability and nature of resident need.

• Provides residents personal hygiene by giving bedpans urinals baths backrubs shampoos and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths.

• Provides resident comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting residents; answering residents call lights and request; reporting observation of the resident to nursing supervisor.

• Other duties responsibilities and activities may change or assigned at any time with or without notice.

Requirements:

• Valid state license(s)

• Excellent verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills

• High integrity and well-grounded work ethic

• Agility and flexibility with changing priorities

• Team-oriented and a practical team-player

• Professional demeanor

• At least one year experience providing care and services in long-term care (preferred)
