As the National Account Executive you will be responsible for managing and growing all Cepheid business in National/Strategic Alternate-Site (non-hospital) healthcare markets by the introduction of new diagnostic concepts through closure and implementation of GeneXpert Systems and a portfolio of 20 diagnostic tests including Xpert Xpress SARS-CoV-2/Flu/RSV which is the next-generation test to support the global fight against COVID-19.
This position is part of the Direct Sales team and will be located a remote position with accounts spanning from the South Central US to the West Coast. At Cepheid our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
Achieve sales goals by partnering with distribution channel partners and field sales teams in closing new and incremental business.
National/Strategic Account management through identification analysis and prioritization of national/regional strategic accounts as assigned including the evaluation of competitive activity identification of key opportunities and development of account objectives and collaborative implementation.
Provide corporate representation at the assigned national account headquarters and on an individual institution basis.
Establish company and products credibility at executive levels including but not limited to: Urgent Care Student Health Pediatric OBGYN and Multi-Specialty groups.
Work with local sales representatives to educate and align strategic account customers in support of sales and adoption of products.
Develop and support proposed pricing contracting and marketing business initiatives in order to solve marketplace/customer problems while managing Cepheids financial and legal exposure.
Lead consult and collaborate with multi-level cross-functional teams both internal and external on developing business strategies for business development marketing promoting and selling of Cepheid products.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelors degree with 8 years of related healthcare sales experience preferably in medical device laboratory diagnostics med tech biotechnology distribution clinical laboratory and/or life science markets OR Masters degree with 6 years.
2 years prior strategic/health system account management experience
Travel Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Ability to travel 50% of the time.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Distribution Channel experience and Experience engaging multiple call points within the alternate-site markets
Contracting experience
Proficient using Salesforce CRM

The salary range for this role is $125000 -$135000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
