Position Overview
The Senior Executive Assistant to the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (VP/COO) plays a vital role in the day-to-day functioning and long-term impact of the foundations operational leadership. This role serves as the right hand to the COO providing high-level administrative support while managing critical projects facilitating cross-team coordination and serving as backup support for the Office of the President. The position requires someone who can deftly prioritize competing demands anticipate needs and ensure the COOs time and attention are optimally allocated to advance the foundations mission.

The position is based in Menlo Park California. Staff are working in a hybrid environment and currently expected to work from the Hewlett Foundation office at least 2-3 times per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays are required). This role will occasionally require more days in the office as needed to align with the COOs schedule. While performing the duties of this position the employee is required to spend extended periods of time at a computer.
Compensation and Benefits
The Hewlett Foundation is committed to providing compensation that is competitive within the philanthropic sector. We offer a generous total compensation package that emphasizes both base salary and comprehensive benefits. The salary range for this role starts at $135000-$170000. Offers are based on the candidates years of experience and our practice of maintaining salary equity within the foundation.
