Licensed Veterinary Technician - Cat Care Clinic!

*The hourly pay rate for this position is $30.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on experience and credentials.

Cat Care Clinic is a feline-exclusive clinic and when you walk through our doors you will find a friendly hard-working team of assistants and doctors and a tranquil clinic without the chaos and noise that you might feel is indicative of working in a clinic. Cat Care Clinic provides exams laboratory testing radiology surgery and boarding. The medical office is open Monday through Saturday and cat boarding is available every day of the year. We have a long-standing history with many of our clients and we pride ourselves on the relationships we have built with our clients and the expertise of our amazing doctors. Our team is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable individual who is ready to step into a leadership role within our clinic.

Do you have a keen interest in education embracing new technology and enhancing operational techniques to support a community of fabulous felines Cat Care Clinic is looking for an exceptional individual who is looking for a full-time position. We are a small clinic with one doctor working per day in need of a feline fanatic to support them. This is a very hands-on position where you will be directly supporting your doctor and vet assistant.
Responsibilities include:
  • The Veterinary Technician will be responsible for providing medical care to animals performing laboratory tests administering medications and educating clients on animal health
  • Assist veterinarians in the examination and treatment of animals
  • Maintain medical records and prepare reports for veterinarians
  • Provide surgical support and monitor anesthesia
  • Provides outstanding customer service and time management skills
  • Is respectful of all team members
  • Communicate clearly with clients doctors and all staff members
  • Collaborating with the practice manager to develop and execute educational programs for team members focusing on enhancing clinical skills client communication and patient care.
  • Assisting the practice manager in implementing new operational techniques and protocols to streamline workflow and optimize practice performance.
  • Providing hands-on training and support to team members during the adoption of new technologies and operational procedures.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends best practices and regulations related to veterinary medicine and practice management.

Downtown Bellevue is a fun place to work. We have dedicated staff parking three Starbucks within walking distance great restaurants beautiful parks and shopping nearby. Our team gets together once a quarter for a fun group activity from escape rooms to visits to the zoo. We also like to incorporate games into our learning opportunities so expect to bring your fun and competitive side to the office. Our team works 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday (7:45 am to 6:15 pm) and our Saturday team works from 8-2:30 getting in an action-packed day before heading home early. Qualifications

  • Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.

  • Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT RVT or LVT) preferred or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.

  • Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not .

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with exams treatments and surgical procedures.

  • Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.

  • Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.

  • Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean organized work environment.
