Job Description

Position Summary

The Adult Education Program Associate/Data Specialist will provide clerical assistance for the Adult Education/TANF and SNAP programs.
SalaryCommensurate with education and experience according to ACCS Board of Trustees Salary Schedule E4/05.(This is a grant-funded position. Continued employment is dependent on continued funding.)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

At a minimum the major responsibilities of the Adult Education Program Associate/WIOA Case Manager shall include:

  1. Provide clerical assistance for the Adult Education/TANF & SNAP programs.
  2. Serve as program receptionist and assist with management of the office.
  3. Collect and organize monthly time and effort reports from all full-time and part-time faculty and staff.
  4. Assist with preparation of the budgets.
  5. Perform general clerical duties including but not limited to keyboarding filing copying note-taking transcribing and other office operations for student support.
  6. Organize and maintain a filing system for student and office records as appropriate.
  7. Prepare requisitions for purchase order generation for the procurement of instructional materials and supplies.
  8. Monitor orientation calendar and e-mail to assist the area administrator with student information due dates and timelines.
  9. Assist with program purchases and maintaining inventory.
  10. Complete reports and invoicing for SNAP and TANF programs.
  11. Assist with student follow-up/tracking on separate students.
  12. Assist with AAESAP data entry.
  13. Compile monthly overall program and individual class performance reports.
  14. Substitute/assist in the classroom as needed.
  15. Assist with preparation for all adult education functions (such as local trainings and annual community events).
  16. Assist with preparing program performance reports monthly quarterly and/or annually required by the Alabama Community College System Adult Education Division.
  17. Attend all adult education and local and statewide professional development opportunities as deemed necessary for job performance.
  18. Comply with all policies and procedures of the Alabama Community College System and Reid State Technical College.
  19. Maintain a flexible working schedule to meet the needs of the program.
  20. Assist Instructors and Career Coach with course information orientation and class management.
  21. Participate in staff division and committee meetings as assigned.
  22. Actively participate in division/college committees and campus activities.
  23. Demonstrate ethical behavior loyalty honesty and integrity both on and off the campus.
  24. Other duties as assigned by the President Executive Director of Workforce Development and Director of Adult Education.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of an associate degree from a regionally accredited institution required.
  2. Clerical work experience: experience using the current version of Microsoft Office Word Excel and PowerPoint required.
  3. Bachelors degree preferred.
  4. Experience in Adult Education preferred.
