Position Overview
STOWE Early Learning Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Head Start Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing inclusive and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports the growth of the whole childsocially emotionally physically and cognitively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging standards-based lesson plans.
- Foster a safe inclusive and culturally responsive classroom environment.
- Use developmentally appropriate practices to support childrens learning through play exploration and hands-on experiences.
- Conduct ongoing assessments and observations to individualize instruction and monitor progress.
- Collaborate with families support staff and community partners to promote family engagement and student success.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Head Start and district guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required).
- CTDOE Early Childhood Certification.
- Experience working in a Head Start or early childhood setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development and early learning best practices.
- Excellent communication collaboration and organizational skills.
