We are seeking a talented individual to join our Intercompany GL team team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Urbandale and it is a hybrid role with a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a Staff Accountant I you will you will play a vital role in managing financial reports billing and disbursements ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Youll have the opportunity to analyze account trends support process improvements and contribute to maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations. This position offers a chance to develop your accounting skills in a dynamic environment while making a meaningful impact on financial operations!
We will count on you to:
- Prepare disbursements billing and administrative system accounting reports and/or consolidated statements.
- Analyze and maintain accounts and/or client insured records.
- Prepare and analyze various accounting reports including variances disbursement billing and statements; ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Perform variation and trend analysis for key accounts or reports; process disbursements to insured records; process billing and statement reports to clients or insureds.
- Assist with the development implementation and documentation of internal and external accounting and operating policies procedures and process improvements for general accounting functions.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies carrier agreements SOX procedures SSAE16 procedures tax regulations local GAAP US GAAP and local statutory regulations (as applicable) regarding financial matters.
What you need to have:
- Associates degree in Accounting or Finance or a Bachelors degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting
- Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with MS Excel.
