These are laborer positions needed seasonally by the Sports Division of the Provo City Parks and Recreation Department.

What is the compensation
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour (depending upon skill level and experience). Payment will be direct deposit.

What are the main duties
Clean restrooms and pick up litter.
Maintain site by edging trimming blowing leaves and cleaning pavilions.
Assist with tournaments and field rentals as needed.
Assist other crew members as directed.
What are the minimum requirements
Sufficient knowledge training and/or experience that demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the job.
Valid lawful driver license.
What is the schedule
Duration is approximately March 1 through November 1 2025. Schedule varies Monday through Sunday and will be determined by supervisor. Must be flexible to work some weekends with tournaments special events or preventative maintenance as directed.
What are the physical/environmental factors
This work requires strenuous physical labor; walking; bending; reaching; lifting (up to 50 lbs.); and exposure to adverse weather conditions and some chemicals. Applicants must have sufficient physical strength and agility to perform the work.
What is the selection process
This position is open until filled and will be closed when sufficient qualified applications to proceed with a competitive selection process have been received (at least seven days). Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.
If selected for hire candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
