Job Description
Ravenswood School for Girls is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydneys North Shore. We are seeking aSports Coordinatorto join our Sport Department and support the Director of Sport in the administration and delivery of the full range of sports programs at Ravenswood School for Girls. This position is expected to commence in Term 4 with the start date flexible depending on the availability of the preferred candidate.
At Ravenswood our Sports Coordinators are responsible for theorganisation promotion and implementationof school sports programs. This includes managing casual staff overseeing administration and coordinating competitions. You will also assist with the planning and delivery of House sport carnivals and contribute to day-to-day administrative tasks.
The successful applicant will work closely with PDHPE and Sport staff and liaise regularly with students and parents to ensure the smooth running of our sports programs.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in sports management sports science human movement or a related field or an equivalent combination of experience education and/or training
- Experience working in sport
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Current drivers licence
- Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing programs including budget management
- Demonstrated experience in staff management
You will also bring:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Proficiency in administration and computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Experience working in a school environment (advantageous)
